At McLeod Livestock, we don't simply believe in having great cows, but rather, we focus on having great cow families. There is no greater achievement than having multiple generations of a cow family producing functional and high performance calves that we are able to retain for our herd or place in one of our customer's herds as a great breeding piece. Flushing and embryo transplanting have been essential to the development and maintenance of quality within our herd.
CML WILMA 3S
The prodigal daughter out of the Ginny 40P cow, Wilma started in our herd as a big-time bull producer, with sons like CML Encore 4Y and CML Diablo 2X. Her daughters have proved to be formidable breeding pieces in our herd and continue to pass on tremendous maternal quality, loads of body and substance and a sound foundation. She continues to be a cornerstone female in the McLeod breeding program!
PZC TR DESIRAE 012
A cornerstone female in our herd and many-time star of our show string, PZC TR Desirae 012 has elevated our herd to new levels. And while going back to our genetics with her sire being CML Diablo 2X, she provides an exciting pedigree to cross with some of our other high-performance genetics, producing the optimum mix of style and substance.
CML DESIRAE 558C
558C is a more recent addition to our donor pen, but if her dam is anything to go by, this female is going to be nothing short of exceptional. Carrying on the Desirae cow family, 558C combines the best traits from Desirae 012 with those of her sire, CML Distinction 318A. Watch for her calves or half-siblings in our upcoming sales or in our show string this fall!

This Pilgrim daughter outproduces herself time and time again. With daughters in our herd and in the herds of our customers, the production and maternal quality that is passed down is always an exciting thing to see. Not to mention, her bull calves are consistent performers in our annual bull sale!

With Evetta, her progeny speak for themselves. They also tell a story of performance, phenotype, and power that links back to a great mother and a noteworthy cow family. As a broody, deep bodied, feminine female, Evetta consistently produces calves with performance, exceptional muscling and style.

The latest addition to our donor pen, Wren has great potential. With a strong pedigree, a great foundation with big feet and sound structure, in addition to a phenomenal udder, we are excited to see what she will produce. And to top it off, the numbers don't lie with this female. She is backed by great genetics and strong EPDs that only begin to speak to the quality we see in this female.
